The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a local
businessman grows more baffling as each day passes.
Viva Maria owner Dominic Fricano left his Lima Mall eatery on Friday, before the lunch
hour, to make a bank deposit. Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish confirmed Tuesday that bank deposit was never made, and Fricano has not been heard
from or seen since. We do know from officials that the amount of money Fricano was taking to deposit was not enough to runaway and live on for
more than a few days. Crish says his private bank accounts have not
been touched.
The sheriff says this case gets stranger by the day. Two
detectives are working the case. They continue to interview friends and
family of Fricano because at this point they don't have a direction to
take this search. Finding the van Fricano was driving might be the first
step to finding him. It's described as a 2004 white Chevy van, license
plate number FFW 1301.
