Hi there! I'm Eddie Kilroy, and I'm the Weekend Sports Anchor for WLIO. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I've had a passion for sports since I could first pick up a baseball bat. Now, I'm living the dream, doing what I love to do!
I graduated in May of 2012 with a Bachelors in Communications from Kent State University. I was a sports reporter and anchor at our college television station, TV2 KSU, where for four years I covered the Mid-American Conference and Northeast Ohio high school sports. I was also the sports director for our college radio station, Black Squirrel Radio, where I was the play-by-play broadcaster for the Golden Flashes football and basketball programs. On top of that, I freelanced for FOX Sports Radio as a college correspondent and worked as a reporter for SportsInk.com, a web site dedicated to covering high school athletics in the greater Akron area.
Between college and WLIO, I worked as a producer for Cleveland's number one sports talk radio station, 92.3 The Fan WKRK-FM. As the youngest staff member of the programming department, I was responsible for producing and board-operating weekend talk show programming.
Aside from being behind the camera or microphone, I also love being out in the community and helping others. As an Eagle Scout from Troop 513, and a division II college football recruit from Brunswick, Ohio, I learned early on that family, hard work, and teamwork are vital to a community's success. That's why I'll give you a 110% effort when covering the sports you care about!
If you catch me out in public, please come right up and say hello! If you'd like to contact me, please email me at email@example.com.
