The cable and satellite TV competition in Allen County has been kicked up a notch in the past week.
On March 1st satellite provider "DirecTV " put all four of "Your Hometown Lima Stations" on its satellite feed.
That is a move that mirrors what "dish network" did about 4 years ago.
Subscribers to those two satellite companies can now get local programming instead of having to watch the local programming and news product out of some city such as Los Angeles, Chicago or New York.
Your Hometown Lima Stations vice-president and general manager Kevin Creamer says this is good news for our stations, allowing more people to see our product.
One of DirecTV's biggest selling points is they will now have our local affiliates on their satellite.
