Wednesday was the official start of spring even though it felt more like midwinter outside especially since last year on this day we had a record breaking high temperature of 84!
Even with our temperature being well below average today there are still signs spring is coming with perennial flowers starting to bud. Tim DeHaven of DeHaven's home and garden says this cold start to spring is really going to hurt his March business.
DeHaven says he actually likes having a colder start to spring because it forces people to start there gardening a little closer to the last freeze date. DeHaven says in our part of Ohio that frost free date is typically between May 10th and the 15th.
