People won't be heading to the polls until May, but the Allen County Board of Elections is preparing.
Right now, polling locations must comply with Ohio Revised Code and the Americans With Disabilities Act. A bill on the governor's desk will tie the two together. This will allow the locations of the polls to be more flexible while still complying with the ADA.
Another item of discussion at the meeting...leveling the playing field by closing a loophole. It will restrict the time groups have to collect extra signatures to ensure their issues appear on the ballot.
The next election will take place on Tuesday, May seventh.
