Lima Ohio -
Driving past Optimist Safety City, you may have noticed a few new buildings. Safety City is in the process of renovating, with more updates being made each day. To date, Safety City has sold 30 lots and has four buildings nearing completion. Kewpee's, Lima Memorial, St. Luke's and Tuttle all have buildings up, and Lima City School have begun their building process as well.
With Safety City expanding, the need to complete a storage building has been emphasized. On Saturday, that building became a reality.
Proceeds from the purchasing of lots will go towards a "Survive Alive" house, that will teach kids what to do in the event of an emergency. Project Manager Ken Hall says the money continues to come in, as three additional businesses signed contracts earlier this week.
