Congregation members with First Assembly of God Church, gathered in the field off of I-75 and State Route 81, the future sight of the new First Assembly of God Church.
Congregation members for the past three years, Shelly and Joe Swaney are excited to see growth within their church and are thankful that their grandchildren will have a church for years to come.
Currently located at 1575 East High Street, Pastor Randy Davis says the congregation has tripled in size, outgrowing the current church. After two years of planning and selecting a design, the one story facility, worth $2.5 million, will be built at 1660 Findlay Road, just off of I-75.
Construction is expected to begin immediately, with the completion of phase one expected by November 6th.
