St. Marys, OH -
Sparks weren't flying, but there were some very special guests at the Midwest Electric's Co-op Owners for Political Action meeting this morning.
Congressmen Jim Jordan and Bob Latta addressed a full house this morning. Questions from the audience ranged from terrorist detainees to the President's use of executive order. Since the meeting was held at a utility, energy and energy independence were also discussed.
Mr. Latta said that Ohio is well situated with its coal supply, fracking for natural gas, and use of renewable energy. He said that to be a world leader, you must have a strong economy and military and you must have energy independence.
The congressmen were able to meet with their constituents because they are on recess. Congress resumes on April 9th.
