Five Findlay churches coming together to celebrate Good Friday, putting a new meaning to the phrase "Cross Walk." Following a community worship service at St. Marks United Methodist Church, congregation members took turns carrying a wooden cross through downtown Findlay.
As they marched down Main Street, participants stopped to pray for fire fighters at Findlay's Central Fire Station, at Wilson's Sandwich Shop to pray for the poor and hungry and at the Hancock County Courthouse to pray for the government. The message being sent throughout the community, "Unity."
The walk allows for quite time for prayer and reflection, bringing awareness to area churches while reminding passers-by about the upcoming religious weekend.
