One woman is dead after being shot in her home on Lima's north side Saturday afternoon. Police were called to 1157 Bahama Drive at 3:40 p.m. Saturday on a report of a woman not breathing.
They found 21-year-old Tara Cutlip inside the home shot multiple times. Coroner Gary Beasley pronounced her dead at the scene. Crime scene technicians were processing the scene several hours after the initial call, trying to find clues into her death.
Police and neighbors tell Your News Now that Cutlip was pregnant at the time of her death and already had a small child. That child was reportedly with relatives when police responded to the Bahama Drive address.
Police are looking for Cutlip's boyfriend 22-year-old Marquavius Shurelds, otherwise known as "Bra-Bra". They are calling him a person of interest in this investigation. He has several unrelated outstanding warrants out for his arrest.
If anyone sees or knows where Shurelds is, contact the Lima Police Department at 419-227-4444 or dial 9-1-1.
