Ottawa Cleaning up Flooding

Jodi Culp had to be evacuated from her home on main street because of flooding water.

She says she is grateful to be rescued by the Ottawa fire department, but wishes there was something more the county could do to prevent the flooding.

Love says he been working with City Council, the mayor, the Red Cross, and ODOT to get the flooding water under control.

Even though the flooding was bad, the water has receded from 27 feet to 26 feet which means the worst of it should be over.

The two biggest roads that are flooded are State Route 224 and State Route 65, especially at that intersection. The Putnam County Sheriffs office is asking people to avoid that area and drive with extreme caution, that means don't try driving through those waters and along closed roads.
