Part of a parents responsibility is to make sure that their children are getting the best care they can possible have, but that responsibility can become more challenging for parents that have children with Autism.
That's why parents at the Autism's and Dyslexia Center started their "parent teacher organization" or PTO, which is now celebrating their year anniversary. Parents in the PTO say their mission is to do as many activities as they can for their students to make friends and enhance learning.
April is Autism Awareness Month, and Executive Director Susan Phneuman say more children are being diagnosed.
The Center for Autism and Dyslexia has been in operation for 6 years, and recently became a charter school.
