Ohio State University in Lima gave away their Distinguished Staff Award to one Lima staff member that has gone above and beyond to help others.
Temple Patton was surprised with the Distinguished Staff Award from the University, beating out 10,000 other nominations.
Patton is OSU Lima's Coordinator of Minority Recruiting, but also started the University's Dream Program which helps at-risk Allen County high school student achieve their goals of a college education.
Patton says the award is a great honor, and that she enjoys every paying it forward in the community.
Patton is one of 12 staff members receiving the award this year.
