A Lima man pleads guilty to the shooting death of his
girlfriend. Timothy Brown pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter
with a firearm specification, in the October 2012 shooting death of his
former girlfriend Valeda Thomas.
Brown agreed to a plea deal. He was
facing charges of murder with a gun specification and having a weapon
under disability. Before the plea deal was made, Brown's attorney tried
to get recordings from police cruisers and blood evidence taken the
night of the murder suppressed.
Brown will be sentenced on June 3rd
and is facing a sentence of between 6 to 14 years in prison.
