Traffic around the City of Lima was the topic of the night for Lima Council Members. They passed an ordinance that will change some one-way streets to two-way streets.
As part of phase three of the traffic study, Wayne and High Streets will become two way streets from Central to Cole.
Council approved of entering into an agreement with ODOT to proceed with the engineering work of this process. Council President John Nixon believes there are advantages to these street changes.
The engineering aspect will take about 2 or 3 years to complete before the actual construction will take place. The city will also apply for state and federal grants to fund this new project
Elm and Spring street have already been converted to two-way streets.
