It's one full week of volunteering and community service in Hancock county. Running from April 22nd to April 27th, United Way of Hancock County is holding its annual "Days of Caring." 760 volunteers, with dozens of organizations, will spend time in the county helping out non profit agencies.
Tuesday, a dozen members of Fifth Third Bank came together at Birchaven Village to paint fencing. Celebrating 19 years, "Days of Caring" allows area residents to give back to their community. At an hourly rate of nearly $22 an hour for volunteer labor, the free work done during "Days of Caring," is worth nearly $62,000.
