Standing at 6'6'', with the title of "Best Legs," four years running, Ron Pahl put on his red heels once again to raise awareness for domestic violence at Walk A Mile in Her Shoes. Hundreds of men gathered at Riverside Park and traded their shoes in for four inch heels in an effort to bring awareness and humor to a serious topic.
Wobbling and stumbling, the men walked a mile in their heels, a difficult task to accomplish. While men say walking in heels is painful, it doesn't compare to what women go through with domestic violence. The event raises awareness for domestic violence and more than $25,000 for Open Arms, Findlay's domestic violence and rape crisis center.
This year's turn out was among the largest in the event's history, and brought together not only men in the community, but their families as well.
