The funeral services for 17 year old Blake Romes and 14 year old Blaine Romes began this morning with young pallbearers carrying their caskets into the church. The brothers were students at Ottawa-Glandorf High School and Ottawa Elementary School. Buses from the district brought several students to the service. Many of those in attendance wore ribbons in remembrance of the teens. The mass was followed by burial at the church cemetery.
The bodies of the brothers were found on Thursday in Ottawa. An amber alert was issued earlier in the day for the boys along with a third teen-- Michael Fay.
Fay was found in Columbus and later pleaded not guilty in juvenile court to a grand theft auto charge. Additional charges could still be filed.
