Being in the spotlight of a national television show can seem quite glamorous, but it's all the work done behind the scenes that brings a large scale production full circle. In part one of our series, Visions of Vegas, we talk to producers of NBC's show "America's Got Talent" to get a sneak peek of what goes into making the show so successful.
A sea full of faces, each one hoping to make it big. Arrows with various directions line the floors of the Columbus Convention Center. America's Got Talent is now in its 8th season, and this talent train shows no signs of stopping. Producers are always excited about the turn-out of hopefuls and Columbus proved no different. Hundreds of people came eager to showcase their abilities.
Although exhaustingly long hours come with the job description, show producers say they do become personally invested in the contestant's stories. A journey that could lead to future fame and fortune.
You can see more audition footage on this season of America's Got Talent, which will premiere on NBC, June 4th.
In our second part, we'll show you some of our own home-grown talent that traveled to Ohio's capital city for a shot at stardom.
