The city of Lima seeing a $700,000 increase in cash balance, leaving Lima Finance Director Steve Cleaves to sort out $1.9 million. Cleaves stresses $9 million will drop to $5 million over the next few years as the city looks to make capital improvements.
Over the next two years, the Lima Police Department will see $400,000 that will be used to purchase four new cruisers, something LPD Police Chief Kevin Martin describes as an exciting improvement to safety.
Over the next few years, the city will also make improvements to the fire department, replace computers, purchase emergency generators and improve parking lots and public works.
