Back in February, workers began to renovate the old National Guard Armory in Van Wert.
Transforming the facility into the new Wassenberg Art Center has been a challenge.
In February executive director Hope Wallace had hoped to have the facility open by early June, but it now looks like it will be late summer before the building is ready.
Much has been accomplished in the four months since work began.
The Van Wert County Foundation purchased the old armory for $160 thousand.
Wallace is hoping the center will be ready in time for school and for the member show in November.
