A little boy's battle against Leukemia inspires a

The first Dexter Adams Memorial Baseball Tournament will
be held this weekend at the Shawnee Schools' athletic complex. The three
year old lost his battle with Leukemia last November. He was
diagnosed in February of 2012 and over the next several months, the
hospital became his family's second home.
Money raised during the
tournament will help needy families of cancer stricken children pay bills
during their hospital stays. Dexter's aunt says the idea for a
tournament came about because of his love of baseball. Team registration
is complete. However, a chicken barbecue and raffle will also take
place this weekend.
