Putnam County -
Along with the usual Putnam County Fair festivities, there was a special moment during the opening ceremony to remember an avid 4-H supporter and animal lover who was taken too soon.
Vicki Reed's family accepted a plaque in her honor today, remembering 30 years of her involvement with the Putnam County Fair. Vicki's husband Robert, son Eric, and daughter Emily attended the opening ceremony today who are from Muskingum County but worked closely with Putnam County. Vicki was an extended 4-H educator and known for her no-nonsense approach to 4-H. Putnam County Fair will miss Vicki and her positive influences on the fair dearly.
Vicki Reed's expertise was teaching youth about livestock. She passed away in May at age 53. Her legacy within 4-H will live on through the youth she has mentored.
