A new building project at the Mercer County Fairgrounds is growing.
In November, the Mercer County Fair Board announced a $1.5 million building project, today, thanks to interest from various groups the scope of the project has grown and so has the price tag going up now to $4 million.
The PACE Center will be located on the west side of the fairgrounds, an area that is now just a field.
Fair Manager Cara Muhlenkamp says various entities have wanted to become involved in the project including Wright State University.
Muhlenkamp says they've already started raising money for the project.
Depending on how quickly money can be raised it could be anywhere from two to three years before the PACE Center is opened.
