Since August of 2012, one Findlay family has been followed by a documentary crew to bring awareness to Alzheimer's. On Saturday, family and friends of Darrell Prichard posed for pictures as part of the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio's documentary premiere.
Starting last august, crews began to capture the life of Darrell Prichard and his family as he lived with Alzheimer's. Prichard originally wanted to give up and stay home, but his wife convinced him to stay positive.
The documentary is a first for the Northwest Ohio chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, but they hope it serves as an inspirational story to those currently being affected, and reminds everyone that Alzheimer's goes beyond the person diagnosed.
