Lima Ohio -

Lima City Council making some tough decisions Monday night  on where to spend Community Block Grant Dollars.

Council approved an ordinance to give the United Way of Greater Lima 35,000 dollars to hire a grant writing specialist.
The organization says the position would help non-profit agencies in the city get grants.
The money is coming out of demolition, street reconstruction, and property maintenance.
Director of Community Development Amy Sackman Odum says it's a matter of opinion on where the money should be spent, but the fact remains that Lima is seeing less money from the federal government.

The city will not receive block grant funds until October first of this year.
Monday council also approved a job incentive payment of 16,500 dollars to Kettle Creations.
