Listen up employers, the check is in the mail. The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation expects a return of 4 percent on their money. Due to sound investments, that return is 11 percent. The surplus means they will be mailing rebate checks to area employers in Allen and the five surrounding counties over the next few weeks.
This is no small chunk of change as businesses, local governments and schools will receive more than 30 million dollars. Last time the BWC did this, some checks went uncashed! Eligible employers will get 56% of their 2011 premium amount back to reinvest, whether it is for safety or other purposes.
