Allen County residents have been streaming into the
court house this week as real estate taxes are due.
The Treasurer's Office has been busy as this Friday is the deadline to pay the 2nd half
of your taxes. People have been coming into the office to pay and others
have mailed payments as staff sort through stacks of envelopes.
Allen County recorder Rachel Gilroy wants to remind residents that they can
pay at any of the participating banking institutions and to be sure and
bring your statement. If you choose to use the U.S. Postal Service to
pay you real estate taxes, be sure it is post marked July 12th or you
could face penalties for late payment.
