Cridersville was one of the hardest hit area's by Wednesday storms. Auglaize County Emergency Manager Troy Anderson reports that wind gusts of 73 to 86 mph were recorded through Cridersville, possibly indicating tornadic winds.
Cridersville Mayor Lorali Myers says that after the damage received the village is now under a state of emergency.
Anderson says the damage path is from National road though Cridersville and out past Dixie highway.
Mayor Myers says the winds downed trees, tore off roofs, damaged the post office and injured a local mail carrier.
Mayor Myers says cleanup will take days and says as of now the Firemen's Jamboree is still on schedule for this Friday.
