The Central Middle School in Findlay will be demolished but part of it will remain to act as the center piece for the new Hancock County Performing Arts Center.
The school abandoned the building more than a decade ago, but now the 1940's art-deco auditorium will remain and around it the performing arts center will be built. RMC architects are designing the center. The arts center will include an art gallery, and education center, a smaller theatre and a larger stage for traveling shows. The arts center is set to open in 2015 and will cost $10 million.
