A peaceful protest in Bluffton today, designed to try and convince Congress not to use military action on Syria.
There was song, and lots of prayer as members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bluffton gathered at noon Saturday to head off a U.S. war machine ready to strike Syria as retaliation for the Syrian government's use of toxic gas on its people.
Shahad Aldorri, a Bluffton University graduate who was originally from Iraq sought refuge in Syria during the Iraq war from 2007 to 2009 doesn't believe violence is the answer to Syria's problems.
Sister Carol Inkrott says the attack on the Syrian people doesn't warrant a like response by the U.S. Government.
And while prayer helps, taking action is just as important, that's why they are asking everyone to contact members of Congress.
