Lima Great Strides held its eighth annual fundraiser to gain awareness and research funding for Cystic Fibrosis.
Officials say 30,000 young adults and children in the United States are impacted with the hereditary, life threatening disease.
About 200 people were involved with the event, but one committee member says she comes back yearly in remembrance of her son who was diagnosed with the disease 50 years ago.
Elmquist-Lane says those making strides for Cystic Fibrosis should stay hopeful for a cure. Lima Great strides hopes to raise $25,000 or more this year.
