Husky Lima Refinery and the city of Lima want people to get involved with the community assets and resources education, also known as the C.A.R.E. Academy.
The ten week academy aims to give participants the information needed to become effective neighborhood leaders and advocates. Those participating are non-traditional leaders meaning they have not held an elected office.
City officials say this will benefit everyone in Lima. Participants must earn 200 points throughout the academy to get certification for the projects they create.
The C.A.R.E. Academy will end on November 12th, but questions about the program can be directed to: Connie Dershem at 419-221-5177, or by e-mail.
