Kenton, Hardin County -
A phone call from a concerned parent leads to the arrest of a Kenton High School student. The call came in yesterday to the Kenton Police Department.
Students overheard one of their peers threatening to shoot another student. After a brief interview, police found the threat to be real and a more thorough investigation was done. This included interviewing the students who overheard the threat.
An 18 year old male was taken into custody and charged with inducing panic, a felony, and possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Parents were kept informed of the developments and there was a police presence at Kenton High School this morning to calm nerves. Police also took possession of a loaded gun safe. The student is in custody at the Multi- County Jail in Marion.
