The farm became the classroom for some Van Wert fifth graders.
Today the Van Wert Soil and Water Conservation District sponsored Cows and Plow 20-13. It's a day long session designed to teach the students about the counties' primary industry, agriculture. A broad range of topics were covered including livestock, crops, equipment and farm safety. There was added emphasis on how science and technology have a place in farming.
A delicious hamburger ingredient and one of the jeopardy answers gives you an idea of the volume of tomatoes grown in the Buckeye State. The question...what is one million pounds.
