After school was let out Wednesday afternoon, a hand-written bomb threat was found in a bathroom stall at New Bremen Schools. New Bremen Police Department responded with the assistance of area law enforcement and the Allen County Bomb Squad. Chief Skinner and the department have responded to acts of graffiti before, but nothing of a serious nature.
After searching all of the buildings, nothing was found. As a precautionary measure, officers were at the schools Thursday morning when students arrived. Class was back in session as normal on Thursday, where students heard first-hand what happened from Superintendent Howard Overman.
The threat remains under investigation with the New Bremen Police Department.
