Over children across Ohio are looking for a family.
The Allen County Children Services is trying to raise awareness for national adoption month by tying a white ribbon, each one representing the 2,500 children in need of adoption in Ohio, to the fence around the playground.
Local adoption recruiters say the average age of a child in need of adoption is eight years old and have been in foster care for around four years.
They say if you do not think you would make a good parent, you are wrong.
With the holidays around the corner, recruiters want to make sure these youngsters get out of a group setting and into a home.
