Students traveled from parts of the state, Indiana, and Michigan to try to win cash prizes and scholarships to Bluffton University in a math competition.
The two part test includes a section with a calculator and another without. One Bluffton student remembers the test giving her a challenge.
Officials of the math department say the competition is one way to break down barriers of the united states being the underdogs in math.
Some say the students have more to gain from the contest other than knowledge.
Cash prizes and scholarships to Bluffton will be given to the top 15 scorers of the math contest.
