Celina's Grand Lake Regional Cancer Center hosted a community open house where people from the community were invited to tour the facility, meet physicians and learn about a new machine, and radiation therapy for cancer treatment.
The $1.7 million dollar investment in the region provides some of the same cancer treatment as major metro areas.
Patients can now save time and get more accurate treatment with the new equipment at the facility. One physician says she has been in the medical field for 22 years and cancer capabilities have advanced over time.
Grand Lake Regional Cancer Center hopes to keep advancing for mercer county and they plan to have an open house for the community annually.
