Uniopolis Residents will Vote Again on Dissolution

Uniopolis, Ohio -
With less money coming in from the state, and a loss of businesses over the years, the topic of dissolution is more about affordability than it is about love for the village. Marilyn Fleck has lived in Uniopolis for nearly 50 years, and raised her family within village limits. She loves her town, but was disappointed with last year's results.
On top of a vote for dissolution, residents will vote on a 3 mill tax levy for Fire and EMS, a 10 mill tax levy for operational expenses, and a 1.5% income tax levy for general municipal operations. Fleck believes the township is ready to take on the village and its residents, and expects the additional levies to play a role in Tuesday's vote.
If the village is dissolved into the township, Fleck is prepared for what she is calling a seamless transition. She says neighbors will stay neighbors, kids will still play in the streets, and life will go on as normal.
Watch for the results Tuesday night on Your Hometown Stations.
