Allen County Voter Turnout

Posted: Updated:

Without a presidential race, gubernatorial match up, or heated statewide issues, few are practicing their right to vote. 2013 is obviously an odd year and odd year elections tend to draw low turnout.

There are some new levy requests, and local races on the ballot, however, Allen County elections director, Ken Terry, is sticking to his estimate of a 30% turnout. In comparison, last year's presidential election drew a 73% voter turnout. The polls opened at 6:30 this morning and close at 7:30 this evening.
