Probably the most contentious issue, the future of Uniopolis, and a local tax levy.
Voters have decided to dissolve Uniopolis. Uniopolis voters also asked to approve a 10-mill property tax levy for village operating expenses. Those in the village rejected that tax. And Uniopolis voters also faced a request for a 1.5 percent tax levy for village operations. The voters said no to that tax. Finally, voters in Uniopolis, had to decide on a 3 mill property tax levy for Uniopolis Fire and EMS- they rejected that tax.
Voters in the Auglaize County Village of Buckland facing a decision on a tax levy to fund Fire and EMS service - they rejected the tax.
And finally in Auglaize County, voters the in New Bremen School District had to decide on construction of a new elementary school, with partial funding coming from the state of Ohio. New Bremen voters give decided against, the new elementary school.
Remember these are the unofficial results. The Auglaize County Board of Elections will certify the votes later this month.
