Tax season begins in just a few days, and like usual,
there are some major changes that will affect those filing. One of the
biggest will be for taxpayers who are affected by the Affordable Care Act.
Nancy Rumschlag of Liberty Tax Service says the income reported on a
person's 2013 tax returns will determine the cost of insurance through
the Affordable Care Act marketplace. Starting this year, individuals
and families can also take a premium tax credit to help them afford
health insurance. But, those who choose not to have health insurance
will have to pay up when filing for 2014.
Taxes can be filed
electronically starting on January 31st.
