Elida, Ohio -
Water rates may be on the rise in Elida. Water is supplied to the village through the City of Lima which increased rates by 20 percent at the beginning of the year for all utility users.
According to Lima's deputy utilities director Mike Caprella, the average residential customer will only see an increase of a couple dollars a month. Elida officials are currently absorbing the extra cost, but that could soon change.
Officials will discuss the rate increases at future council meetings.
