LIMA, OHIO -
The Allen County Museum is helping to promote the ancient art of fiber craft.
Members of the Hawg Creek Spinners and Weavers Guild are traveling to encourage youth to learn the skills of sewing, knitting, and spinning various types of fiber into yarn. There were also demonstrations on how to use the spinning wheel and other equipment from the pioneer days.
Members of the group say the skills are beneficial to have in the long run.
The community can catch the Hawg Creek Spinners and Weavers once a month all year round.
