Cinco de Mayo is a time for sombreros, mariachi music, and authentic cuisine, but law enforcement is urging people not to get behind the wheel after indulging in a margarita.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will have extra manpower out this holiday weekend. Troopers will patrol the highway as well as county, township, and city roads. They say if you have even one drink, it's too much.
Last year troopers made 103 OVI arrests during a 24 hour period on Cinco de Mayo. Thirty-eight percent of motor fatalities around that holiday are related to drunk driving.
