Ohio Senate to Work on State Budget Tweaks

It's up to the Ohio Senate to fine tune the recently passed two year budget.

Representatives passed the 71 point 5 billion dollar budget on Wednesday.

Majority republicans stripped major elements of governor John Kasich's tax proposal from the bill, including increases on certain business and sales taxes used to help fund an income tax cut.

Ohio senate president Keith Faber says they are definitely planning some kind of tax cut.

GOP lawmakers described the budget as pro growth saying it would leave more money in Ohioans' pockets.

Democrats called the spending plan out of line with residents' priorities.
