Chief, Miller Poultry Donate Chicken to West Ohio Food Bank
Chief Supermarkets and Miller Amish Country Poultry are partnering to donate food for families this holiday season. The companies donated 4,600 pounds of Miller Amish chicken to the West Ohio Food bank in Lima, Ohio. The donation provides enough food for more than 27,000 meals for local families.
The chicken is locally grown, and Chief is family owned, and they say it's important for them to give back to their community. "It tugs at your heart strings, nobody wants to see anyone struggle anytime of the year, and I know it's a struggle for some to be able to find food to put on the tables, and if we can take away one worry and make it so they can focus on what really matters, and that's the family, and the children, and each other, then we're happy we can do that," said Chief's director of marketing, Annette Hoeffel. Chief Supermarkets has an ongoing partnership with the West Ohio Food Bank year round.
