CINCINNATI (AP) - A 2-year-old boy with brain cancer who had an early Christmas celebration planned for him by his friends and family has died. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the father of Brody Anderson says the boy died Friday morning surrounded by his family. Todd Allen wrote last week that Brody's body was failing and that he didn't have much time left.
FREMONT, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a high school student's essay about being sexually abused is what led to an investigation that ended with an Ohio man pleading guilty to raping her and her two sisters years ago. Detectives in Sandusky County say school officials alerted children services and the sheriff's office after the student turned in a writing assignment on overcoming obstacles. A judge on Tuesday sentenced the suspect to 20 years in prison.
