It's never easy being sick and as a child it can get down right miserable, but students from Ohio Northern University are hoping to ease the pain for children with a simple gift.

These stuffed polar bears are putting smiles on the faces of children who receive them. The Mortar Board National Honor Society at Ohio Northern University donated dozens of the furry bears to Lima Memorial Health System Pediatrics Unit. The group raises funds at their annual Reindeer Run to give back to the community with projects like the polar bear donation.

"We just like to give back to the community as much as we can do to give back to the community. That's just one of our goals that we have at ONU Mortar Board. It's just a great thing that we do and then you know to put a smile on the kids' faces when they get it," commented ONU Mortar Board President, Grant Allbritten.
